THE BEST IN MILITARY SCIENCE FICTION SPACE OPERA FROM DAVID WEBER AND TIMOTHY ZAHN AND HONORVERSE EXPERT THOMAS POPE
To weather the storm . . .
The youthful Star Kingdom of Manticore is only a single, tiny star nation on the fringe of the explored galaxy. It has no Army, only a tiny Navy, and no merchant marine at all. By any interstellar measure, it is virtually insignificant.
Despite which, it has somehow acquired a very significant enemy. One which has engineered major attacks upon its territory. One which has worked long and hard to destabilize any alliances that might aid the Star Kingdom in its defense. And one which has struck from the shadows, weaving webs of secrecy and deception to conceal its identity, its resources, or even the reason behind its attacks.
Yet Queen Elizabeth II and her advisors know there must be a reason, whether they know what it is or not. They are digging deep for clues . . . and they have begun getting dangerously close to answers.
Their enemy knows that, and it has prepared a last ditch effort to decapitate the Star Kingdom, throw it into disarray.
A last ditch effort which may claim Elizabeth’s life.
But there are more players in the game then even Manticore's enemy realizes. Deception is about to meet counter-deception, fleets are about to meet fleets, and the tiny Star Kingdom of Manticore is about to open the door to future greatness.
Assuming it survives.

THE GRIFFIN CORPS CONTINUES THE FIGHT, REGARDLESS OF THE COST!
Fans of Anne McCaffrey will be thrilled with this Epic Fantasy!
You can do everything right . . . and still lose.
Harper Tavros always dreamed of being a dragon rider. But after a prank went horribly wrong—or right—she ended up bonded to an utterly ridiculous and insanely brave griffin instead. A bond that can only be broken in death. Together, Harper and Felix graduated the Tennessan Bonded Training Academy and proved themselves during their first six months on active duty even as the war with Savinia heated up.
Now, every mission is more dangerous than the last.
Griffin riders are the eyes and ears of the Tennessan military, an advantage unmatched ever since their enemy’s griffin riders vanished from the battlefield years ago. So when a dying Savinian griffin shows up at a Tennessan fort, Harper and Felix are dispatched to retrieve the message she carries—a plea for help from Savinia’s last griffin riders.
A plea Tennessan can’t afford to ignore.
Harper and Felix are assigned to the team tasked with unraveling the mystery of Savinia’s griffins. Their mission will take them deep behind enemy lines and into the dreaded Southern Smoke Mountains. After everything goes wrong, Harper and Felix will be pushed to their limits.
When every choice leads into the fire, their only option is to burn . . . and let the flames temper them into something stronger.

When astronomer Stephanie Bronson uncovers a massive alien vessel named Fenrir racing toward the Sun, she must lead a desperate mission to rescue its crew before a catastrophic failure dooms them both to fiery destruction.
It was just a dot of light . . .
. . . a dot of light that appeared out of nowhere. Stephanie Bronson thought she might have found a distant supernova. Instead, what she’d found was something more than a thousand miles across, moving towards the Sun at almost a third the speed of light from the constellation of Lupus, the Wolf. Even more frightening, the object—called Fenrir, after the Norse Wolf of the World’s End—was slowing down. It was not a comet or even a rogue planet.
It was an alien vessel.
And despite the increasingly detailed and insistent messages of greeting from Earth, it showed no sign of responding. As the world braced itself for the arrival of the immense, frighteningly silent alien visitor, Stephanie held hope that they still might communicate with Fenrir—until something happened that no one had imagined: Fenrir flared and its drive died, leaving the huge ship careening out of control to a fiery death inside the orbit of Venus.
There was—just possibly—a chance for Earth to act—to rescue the now-shipwrecked “Fens.” But even Stephanie—or those trying to stop her and the rescue ship Carpathia—could not imagine that not merely the fate of the aliens, but that of Earth itself, would be decided by Fenrir.

Major Rodger Y. Murphy should have died when his helicopter crashed off the coast of Mogadishu in 1993. Instead, he woke up in 2125, in a binary star system 152 light years from home. Without any memory of the otherworldly abductors who spirited them away in cold sleep, Murphy and 100 other “Lost Soldiers” have been retrieved and awakened by officers of the Consolidated Terran Republic.
Promising to return to the 55 Tauri B system after completing a distant mission, they leave the twentieth-century castaways with a daunting objective: establish a base of operations on the main world, using local allies they have yet to recruit and enemy equipment they have yet to seize.
If that weren’t hard enough, 55 Tauri A, the system’s primary star, is rapidly approaching, and the technologically superior powers from that neighboring system always visit during the close approach . . . to raid, pillage, and cull the locals.
Worse, the Lost Soldiers left behind with Murphy were the losers and ne’er-do-wells deemed “sub-optimal” for inclusion on the rescue mission. Defiant and determined to live down that judgment, they have given themselves a different, more suitable label:
