Product ReviewVinge does it again. A wonderful follow-up to A Fire upon the Deep. It's a prequel of sorts, although the only connection is a single character whose story here has no bearing on AFutD. Set in the same universe, the story shows how alien humans can be, and how humans aliens may be. As before, characterization is not set aside in favor of action. The stage isn't quite as wide as AFutD, but the story is every bit as compelling, with the aliens every bit as unusual and as compelling. This is another book that I already own in hardback and paperback, and will gladly add to my electronic library, too.

Product ReviewThis is an incredible book, the first where the aliens are both human (when the story is show from their perspective) and utterly alien (when it is shown from the human perspective).
I have the paper version, but I'll buy the ebook too, if it has an at all reasonable price.Posted on
