"There is no such thing as luck. There is only adequate or inadequate preparation to cope with a statistical universe." —Robert A. Heinlein, from Time Enough for Love.
Be Prepared – Or Die!
Bill Lermer travels with his father, stepmother and stepsister to colonize a Jovian moon in the process of being terraformed. Out here, self-reliance is the key to survival—and Bill finds that his Boy Scout motto isn't merely a pretty saying. It's a necessary rule for survival!
This is it: what we think is the best of the classic Robert Heinlein adventure novels that influenced a generation of engineers and space scientists and still set the heart racing and the mind afire!

Product ReviewPossibly the best of RAH's SF written for so called 'young adults' (Oh how he would have laughed at that) that introduced SF to pre-teen and teenage readers and practically invented the juvenile genre.
I read when I was about 10. I re-read it every few months till I was around 15 and then kept it on my revist list. At 50 I find myself still enjoying the work of a true writer.
It's mainly a coming of age tale. With the SF parts removed it could be set anywhere on earth and at almost any time where immigrants made a new land out of wilderness.Posted on

Product ReviewA real classic! I first read this one quite a few years ago (don't remember when, really). Fun, and _very_ classical Heinlein. For the Americans who reads this, this one is also safe for younger readers!!
