A NOVEL ABOUT MAN'S PLACE IN THE UNIVERSE
The man on the moon was dead. They called him Charlie. He had big eyes, abundant body hair and fairly long nostrils. His skeletal body was found clad in a bright red spacesuit, hidden in a rocky grave. They didn't know who he was, how he got there, or what had killed him. All they knew was that his corpse was 50,000 years old -- and that meant that this man had somehow lived long before he ever could have existed!

Product ReviewA fine read and the rest of the series is good well though I do like the first book best. If you liked this book I'd recommend Polaris or A Talent for War by Jack McDevitt.

Product ReviewWhat is best about these "Giant's" books is the logic used to solve this apparent conundrum of a 50k year old spaceman on the Moon. There is no evil, just good intelligent characters continuing a logical solution process to the end. The subsequent books pick up a well hidden missing thread(s) and solve them. This series just hangs together so very well.

Product ReviewThis is a well crafted book from a very talented wordsmith. Keeps you in suspense, while building the storyline and the characters. It seems this is the first in a whole series. I hope Baen is able to make ebooks of them all.
