Foreword: “Hole in the Wall” by Kevin J Anderson

I love this story by Kevin J. Anderson. He and his wife, Rebecca Moesta, are some of my favorite people in our community. Kevin writes widely in our field: he’s known for his work in the Star Wars universe, for his sequels to Dune and work on the recent Dune movie, and of course many of his own series that encompass so many subgenres of fantasy and science fiction. But this one is a little gem of hard SF, part of his “Seven Suns” space-opera universe—and just the sort of story LibertyCon founder “Uncle Timmy” would have loved.
