Introduction

I guess we should mention how this anthology came about. After Toni and I finished with Give Me LibertyCon(Baen) we figured it would be fun to do one every five years or so in the future. Apparently, David Weber had other ideas.
My wife and I attended Brandy Bolgeo and Clint Hendren’s wedding and sat at the reception with David and Sharon. David caught Brandy walking by and told her he would love to do a story about her and Clint for a wedding present. She was quite happy to accept.
“I just need somewhere to put it… Oh! I know where that will go, the new LibertyCon anthology!”
I looked at him and said we didn’t actually have one planned and he decided he needed to remedy that quite promptly. Soon he and Toni were plotting, and they called me over to discuss what needed to be done.
Now we have a wonderful lineup of great authors for a second charity anthology, Onward, LibertyCon! With authors like Eric Flint, Kevin J. Anderson, D.J. Butler, and David Weber how can we go wrong? Many of the authors who joined me for my Fallen World series also joined us and we have a nice group of entertaining stories written for a good cause. As some of you already know, we attempted to Tuckerize every member of the LibertyCon staff in the first anthology. We didn’t have quite as lofty a set of goals for this one but there will be some familiar names scattered throughout these stories.
Like Give Me LibertyCon this anthology is intended to be a fundraiser for LibertyCon (a 501c3 corporation) and the Baen Books Timothy Bolgeo Memorial Scholarship (administered by the Interstellar Research Group, a 501c3 corporation). All profits from the volume will go to those entities.
I hope you enjoy reading about our various worlds as much as we enjoyed writing them.
