Product ReviewThis book suffers from not enough David Drake. I enjoyed the first book, but the collaboration here just doesn't work this time. Combat sequences seem amateurish, particularly in the latter stages of the novel. While the premise is intriguing and the story could be captivating, the writing seems wooden and I never felt myself drawn into the book's universe. Too bad, I really wanted to like this series!
