The Future Ain’t What It Used to Be

In Sonia Oris Lyris’ new novel The Seer, Amarta has the ability to see the future. It’s a good power to have most of the time, but there are those occasions when seeing what is going to happen is more of a liability than an asset. Which got us thinking: in what scenario would seeing/knowing the future be the absolute worst? Give us your answer in a short (200 words or less) paragraph. Be as funny or as serious as you like—but make it good! Tell us your answer for a chance to win a signed copy of The Seer.

Send your entry to contest@baen.com no later than March 20th. Put “March Contest” in the subject field and please remember to include your name! One entry per person, please. Entries become property of Baen Books and may be published as part of the winner announcement. Winner will be selected by Baen editorial staff.
