May be it's just ARC, may be too much John Ringo lately, but I was terribly disappointed after great "Sister Time".
The book is incoherent, weak and the end is just anticlimactic...
And it's a really last ARC I bought from Baen... Better wait for free CD, read the book and then decide if I want to buy paperback.

Not up to his usual excellence. Too much padding, not enough advancement of the plot.

I liked that it was a continuation of the Posleen saga and that it brought Mike O'Neal back into the story. I found the no warning sub-plot skipping to be distracting. Maybe that is just due to the ARC format though. I also expected more Mike O'Neal exposure...so I was disappointed that his character didn't play a larger role. Trying not to give too much away...I found the unknown ACS commander too hard to swallow considering the demonstrated intelligence capabilities of the Bane Sidhe/Clan O'Neal. There also seemed to be more open sub-plots at the end of this book then the previous book. Overall, finished this book feeling less satisfied vs. eagerly waiting the next.

I love Mr. Ringo's books. How much is hhis or Ms. Cochranes I didn't even look for in this one or the previous one in this series. I enjoyed these two books much. Despite the fact that I believe if I ever met Mr. Ringo we'd be in some serious debate about solutions, I'd bet the we'd agree at least on the field problem. Say hi to Ms. Cochrane for these last are excellent in the detail of difficult and involved societal politics, whether is it is intra or inter-species. Finally, thank you for distracting me during a very critical time. The last year of U.S. Presidential Elections always make me want to become a kindergarten teacher to those around me. The last 2! count them 2! years I've had to comment soto voce. Shiest.

I think that this was a wee bit too...I don't know.... serialized. I generally like Ringo's work and there are bits that I liked in this book that were most likely more him than Cochrane, but I have not read a just Cochrane book so I am not sure.

I felt like I was reading an episode of the Walton's if the Walton's were bad ass assassin's. So I am going to give it a big O K. Will I buy the next one? Yes. So if you have read all the others you will read this one too.

Personally, I think that the changing of point of views was perfect. It really helped to move the story along. But I will sum it up as best I can. Awesome. Can't wait to read the Finalized Book!
