The young man who hunts her.
And the ferocious monster who only wants to be free.

A good bit of world-buildingA good bit of world-building in this first book of a series. By the middle of the book the story narrows and proceeds at a comfortable pace.

Product Review(Review copied from my Amazon review) I picked this book up thanks to Larry Correia's Book Bombing of the Author along with his other books. Having read some of the other reviews, I am so glad John went back and moved things around, because even with this revised edition, I still found it hard to follow at times. However, once I finally got into the book, I enjoyed it, and am looking forward to reading the rest of the trilogy. I want to know more about how the magic of the world works, and how it affects things.
