BOOK 4 AND CONCLUSION OF THE BLACK TIDE RISING SERIES FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES BEST‑SELLING AUTHOR. Sequel to Islands of Rage and Hope, To Sail a Darkling Sea, and Under a Graveyard Sky.
With the world consumed by a devastating plague that drives humans violently insane, what was once a band of desperate survivors bobbing on a dark Atlantic ocean has now become Wolf Squadron, the only hope for the salvation of the human race. Banding together with what remains of the U.S. Navy, Wolf Squadron, and its leader Steve Smith, not only plans to survive—he plans to retake the mainland from the infected, starting with North America.
Smith's teenage daughters have become zombie hunters of unparalleled skill, both at land and on the sea, and they may hold the key to the rebirth of civilization on a devastated planet.

Product ReviewI hate zombie books...but read the whole series - bought the bundles to get installments. This is so over the top, what's not to like. I won't read any more zombie books-unless we get a final who done it story.

Product ReviewI was thrilled to see another volume in this series, and it ends up being better than some of the others (especially the second).
Clearance on the mainland finally starts, with a believable - if gruesome - manner in which it might, at some time in the distant future, be completed.
The story stays focused almost entirely on Faith, avoiding the popcorn storytelling of the earlier volumes, and there's a welcome lack of cardboard cutouts standing in for real characters.
Biggest problem this book has is the same one the last volume had: the ending. Don't get me wrong, its a real ending, even makes sense. But it feels incredibly rushed; you can almost hear legions of fans going "Wait, what? That's it?" It also leaves major plot points - like who is responsible for ruining the ENTIRE WORLD - unresolved.
For a book that started with an author's note saying he felt compelled to write this to finish the story, it leaves quite a bit to be desired. Either that, or the word 'finished' doesn't mean what I think it does.Posted on

Product ReviewCouldn't give it a five. Three's too low, but four is too high. Three and a half fits best, IMO. I can't believe he didn't address who frickin' did this to the Human Race!
Too short, it does read like he just wanted to get it out the door. Doesn't come across as John Ringo at his best, but definitely readable.
I sure hope he doesn't end the Prince Roger stories the same way.Posted on
