The world had become used to the metahumans-people sometimes perfectly ordinary,but sometimes quite extraordinary in appearance-who mostly worked with their governments as high-powered peace officers, fighting crime, and sometimes fighting rogue metahumans who had become super-criminals. She was one of the first writers to have an online newsgroup devoted to her writing. Among her popular Baen titles are The Fire Rose, The Lark and the Wren, and The Shadow of the Lion (with Eric Flint and Dave Freer). She lives in Oklahoma.
Steve Libby was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, a few months before mankind landed on the Moon, and ever since his head has been elsewhere. He has worked as a graphic designer, a teacher of computer graphics, a web designer, and occasionally plays guitar with a seven piece funk band.
Cody Martin is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, and currently resides in Florida, where he's a self-described anarchist and avid gamer.

Product ReviewThe book ended a lot better than it began. I'm from Detroit, I live in Atlanta, and I play City of Heroes (Virtue). So, I understand where the authors are going with the archetypes, powersets and settings here. There were some glaring errors to me. Like a lot of writers (and readers), these don't really understand that America is really made up of different cultures. I look at the Wild Card series as a primer for what a good superhero sci-fi series can be. If the character (and story) development can get beyond the superficial, this can move from the realm of the schlocky into much better storytelling than what we have so far.

Product ReviewGood plot with lots of mysteries. The personal interplay with the various team members seems to form up well. Great action, and excellent thought to the "meta power" consequences, not just 'I haz power hurr hurr' If in this story someone throws a car through a wall they have to deal with the people hurt in the building, it's not just a isolated event. Will definitely follow this series.
