Award News

April abounds with award news as three of the short stories in the Baen anthology Going Interstellar have been nominated for the prestigious–and nicely remunerative–Lifeboat to the Stars Award. This is a science fiction award to the story or novel that best contributes to an understanding of the benefits, means, and difficulties of interstellar travel.

Plus: Baen author Lois McMaster Bujold is a Hugo finalist this year for her Captain Vorpatril’s Alliance. And Baen Publisher Toni Weisskopf is also a Hugo finalist for best professional editor.

More: Sarah A. Hoyt is a finalist for the Prometheus Award for her novel Darkship Renegades. This is an award she’s already won for her book Darkship Thieves.
