Website Interview with P.N. ElrodConducted by Toni Weisskopf, September 2004 TW: How did you get started writing? Any specific influences? PNE: Some things are best lost in the mists of time. TW: What are some of the best perks of being a science fiction writer? PNE: Getting into conventions for free! TW: Do you have any favorites among your characters? PNE: Ask a mom which is her favorite kid. TW: What was the first sf story you ever read? PNE: Don't recall exactly which collection came first but it was by Ray Bradbury. TW: Who are some of your favorite non-sf authors? PNE: Dick Francis, Chandler, Hammett, Janet Evanovich. TW: Who would you like to see play your series hero (if app.) in a movie? PNE: For Richard Dun? I'll let Nigel answer to that one! For Jack Fleming in The Vampire Files? Vincent Ventresca. TW: What invention or scientific leap in understanding would you most like to see made in your lifetime? PNE: Cold fusion as seen in Back to the Future. TW: If you could go back to one incident in all of history to watch as a spectator what would it be? PNE: Broadway in the early '40s so I could see Boris Karloff playing Jonathan Brewster in Arsenic & Old Lace. For more information please go to: http://www.vampwriter.com/ |
