Free-lance Artists Wanted

If you are a free-lance artist looking for work, you will doubtless have noted that Baen Books tends to use the same artists over and over: Mattingly, Ruddell, Hickman, Caldwell, Eggleton, and very few others. This is because when you have a small “stable” of artists who are tried and true, who always deliver on-budget and on-time, you want to stick with them.

However, time passes, and every once in a while we need new ones. So if you think your work might be up to snuff for us, please review our Schedule, look closely at the art and decide if you want to become, so to speak, part of the Baen team. If you do, and you’re willing to sell publishing rights to your commissioned work for two grand to start (other terms on request) then please do send us some jpegs of your work.
